Does anyone know how to repair the ballast for stryker x-8000 light source? unit blows both 5amp fuses as soon as you turn it on, I have isolated the problem to the ballast, it's almost 900$, can anyone help me repair or give me any tips? any help is appreciated.

Both Sryker and Conmed have added a timer to the lamp module. Replacing lamp used to cost $300. Now the charge $900 for entire moule. I need an alternative source to the timer. I have photos.

Reaching out to see if anyone has any suggestions on troubleshooting an X8000 light source. Initial problem was that it would not switch from 'standby' to 'run' mode. I verified that the lamp module was not the issue first. I swapped the front case to see if it was the touch membrane that was bad. Switched the main board and the 'L' shaped board that sits in front of the lamp module. Everything but the ballast for the lamp basically. I do not have a manual and tech support is useless.. Does anyone know a way to verify if the power supply is functioning properly? I assume it wont apply energy to the lamp terminals unless it is in run mode.
